MRSA or Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus has, in recent years, become a dangerous and important issue in the sports world. Many NHL and NFL Players have been hospitalized due to bacteria from their equipment entering their bodies through a cut or abrasion.
Young children, as well as high school and college athletes have also been treated at hospitals throughout North America, for this bacterial infection. Reducing the bacteria in the equipment, without making the equipment wet, is the single most important thing that can be done to prevent this situation from occurring.
